McKinley dollhouse - week Fifteen

Hi,

I finished the roof.. oo soo pretty!

Staircase and Fireplace almost done.

Tiles in the kitchen are glued in place with only the bay-window floor to finish. I need to use my BEST GIFT EVER to cut some tiles in angles. This picture is kind of useless since you can't see the actual titles 'cause of it's protective paper, but it's white. The wall tiles will have color... I hope...

Then it's time to choose wallpaper for the living/dining room, bedroom, and attic rooms...Aeh, I suck at choices...

Tower room is sanded and I'm going to work on the floor this week so I can attach the 'doors'. (note to self: Self, buy thoses thingies to put on the door so can open and close, hinges, I think?... Oh Almost forgot... Self, don't forget to get the 'wall' tiles. Thank you, Self!)

First of all:

The wood shingles I wasted hours cutting?... it sucks wide, so....
I made some out of some thick paper, painted medium brown and glued on the roof... That looks so much better. (pictures later, since I'm at work right now)

And with my new, shiny, BEST EVER gift, I'm going to start cutting the tiles for the porch floor.

McKinley dollhouse - Week Thirteen!

Hello hello,

I'm with paint up to me eyeballs! And even using a mask I'm coughing sawdust like crazy. Aeh...

The floor of the hallway is done.

Observatory is 'plasted'. As soon is dried It's sanding time again. Then I'll add the 'doors'...

The McK is drying her first coat of white paint....

Shingles all cut and sanded (just a little bit). I'm think in painting those too... brown, or grey, or black...

McKinley dollhouse - Week Twelve - addendum

Hi,

I woke inspired this Sunday morning... I finished and sanded the living room floor.
AND the fireplace is almost done too!

Tower roof is almost done, I glued the bamboo sticks on the gaps and looks sooo pretty, OH MY PRECIOUS!

Now I'm waiting while the f12paste dries on the ceiling of the tower roof ( let's call that space - observatory) and them it's more sanding and I'm think I'm going to 'tile' the floor in the observatory.. I think...

McKinley dollhouse - Week Twelve

HI, Y'all

This week I had a lot to do at work and the traffic jams were so ridiculous I didn't have the energy to work on my Scottish Girl, McK.
I have done little else but cut shingles and templates.
But I half-glued the tower roof:

I used some Popsicle sticks to 'hold' the floor in place while I taped the whole thing together. For those parts you usually need 5 or 6 hands... aeh.

Bedroom floor is finally finished! I sanded and then 'sealed' using white glue! I think it looks nice and the white glue gave a very subtle 'shine'. And it was cheap! lol:

I did some furniture positioning to see if the miniature I have fit:

And I'm got two new sinks :

I put the chimney aside...it was driving me bonkers...

McKinley dollhouse - Week Eleven

Hi,

I didn't do much... I'm working on the templates for floors and walls, and cutting shingles...
But I did 2 'thingies':

I glued the staircase 'gap wall' n the bedroom:

and I made a sitting/table thing for the window space in the bedroom:

and I'm back to cutting shingles... boooooooooooooring!
Still no clue how to put the chimney together. I think I'm missing some parts... Or my 'I'm stooopid' card is sparkling...
