The Brimbles Mercantile - Day 13

Trimmings time are breeding!

The upstairs trimmings are in place... I had a bitching of a time clamping those things down.

I had a bit of difficulty to dry fit the interior trimmings for the front windows. But I think I'll be able to do it with not problems as soon the 'glass' is completely dried. Tomorrow I hope.
I tried some dormer roofs and the 'thingie' on the window to measure the fitting. It was okay...

And I just realise I have six panels for the front doors but I'm going to use only 4. As a rule, I prefer doors to be close most of the time or not doors at all... I did some dry fitting, so I could measure where to cut the wood floor for the porch.

Many decisions to come! What to do with the exterior walls... stucco, bricks, paint, wood work... ARGH!

The Brimbles Mercantile - Days 11 and 12

Time for trimmings!

First I decide to add the wallpaper.
A nice creamy one with a very light 'texture'.
Then I added some 'woodwork' at the corners so it would look prettier.

I started to glue the trimmings in place.
I painted them with black nail polish - for a nice shine - and clamped that bitch tight! Pardon my French!

The acetate is cut and ready to be added. But that is for tomorrow, 'cause the glue is taking ages to dry!!! ARGH!

Hi Y'all

After some misfortunes I had to redo the staircase all over again.
I added some 'trimmings' to it and a carpet. ANd I glued the dormers 'thingies' too after painting with a black nail polish. :D
Right now I'm measuring the template for the wallpaper (nooo, I haven't choose yet, Don't judge me!)

The Brimbles Mercantile - Day 07

Hi, guys!

I bought a bamboo curtain really cheap and used it to make the floor. I sanded some so I could have this used/old look that I really liked it.
That's all I did... I'm cutting more sticks to make the second floor, and I'm not sure I'll keep the walls white... it's getting boring... AND I still not make a choice about the exterior...
I hate choices!

The Brimbles Mercantile - Days 05 e 06

Hi, guys!

I'm melting from the heat wave we are suffering here in Brazil... ARGH!
But I was able to finish the staircase - I like the way it looks but my mom said the Lalas will fall down the stairs without banisters... The Lalas are judging me for the delay... Thor Almighty, but they are bossy!

I was going to paint the steps white but I changed my mind and painted the same baroque brown.

The second floor and the back upper wall were glued in place and painted white, and I also 'test-drived' the big shelf furniture 'thingy'... still need to paint that...

Now I'm painting the windows trimmings and dormer thingies with nail polish - black nail polish so it shiiiines!!!! :D
