Half-scale Furniture

Hello, again.

I got the Half Scale furniture kits from Greenleaf in 2015.

I put together, did some bashing (of course) I used some beads, modified some working doors and drawers, etc etc...and put it away for some time....

Then I build the Taft and Diana and they are very delicate and small dollhouses that I thought the furniture was perfect for them.
I had to build some more pieces from scratch but it worked just fine. Like in the kitchen cabinet, for example, I used the trimmings of the shutters from the Diana as doors and some scrap wood as the 'body'.  I painted them all white.

The Taft is not finished yet because the spiral staircase is not going good...
But the Diana is finished!

Blue cotton sheets for the bed:

Black leather on the sofa and chair:

That's it for now.
The next one is the Tennyson..ish/puzzle-gothic dollhouse I got from Elo7.
I'm doing some bashing, but it is in the 'planning' phase yet.
Later and,
Cheers!

The Half Scale Diana - days 16 to 19

Hi, guys

I am so sorry! I completely forgot to blog about finishing the Diana!
I am sooo ashamed of meself... 😳... but:

I did finished the Diana.

I added a pretty ribbon to the staircase: (I apologize for this very bright picture)

And I finally was able to put the front door together. I added some 'foggy' acetate as the glass:

And it's done!

I'm going to make another post about the furniture I added to the Diana, later tonight.

The Half Scale Diana - days 13 to 15

Hi everyone!

This week, I worked with the windows and their trimmings. And the acetate on the windows. Picture heavy post ALERT!

Painted white with nail polish for extra shiny!

This interior trimming I made with cardboard because the original one was too thick and it would prevent the false doors to open. Not perfect but not too bad:

Then I added the bay windows:

And the front windows trimmings:

Detail view of the front door:

Added some railing fo the staircase in the back :

Interior trimmings/acetate for the front windows:

I glued the roof for the bay windows:

And after days of indecision I choose this roof print:

I end up looking very good Indeed!

I also added wood print for the 'porch' floor and some trimmings on the edges:

Not much to do to finish this little lady. I need to add the staircase, some fluffy seating for the bay windows and the front door, that I can NOT understand how to build! ARGH!
Later,
Cheers!
